Neil will be attending 2 meetings in February to represent the association ( CONA and to meet the city representative)

Officer J. Deary read the crime report for the neighborhood. Several robberies to the local businesses, false alarms, theft, criminal mischief (vandalism). Said these crimes are related to the large amount of teenagers in the area. Also reported that the entire city has been having daytime burglaries.

John Parchman and Joyce North reported some findings from their crime watch patrols.

Neil emphasized the importance of reporting crimes to the police and the crime watch so all the information is together.

NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION
JULY 22, 2008 MEETING MINUTES

The meeting called to order at 7:10 by Don Baltrusis. President, VP, Treasurer, Secretary along with 24 members and 2 guests in attendance.

The May meeting minutes were read with no additions or corrections. Stella gave the treasurer’s report: $916.43. Money was deducted to pay for newsletter printing. $600 brought in on advertising.

POLICE REPORT
Officer Merritt introduced Officer Parker and announced that Officer Joe Troung now moved to Burglaries division – no longer our CSO. Officer Merritt detailed crime report for the last month. Of note: 5 burglaries, 4 out of 5 came through windows. No arrests made. 2 commercial burglaries, 3 aggravated assaults, 2 drug investigations, 2 car burglaries.

The meeting called to order at 7:05 by Don Baltrusis, President. Those in attendance: President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary, plus 45 members and 9 guests.

The January 22nd meeting minutes were read with no additions or corrections. Treasurer Stella gave financial report with balance in checking account $365.58.

OLD BUSINESS
Neighborhood traffic plan construction 90% complete – project expected to be done in April.

Volunteers sought to form a newsletter committee. Our next newsletter will coincide with the grand opening of the Roberts Center.

Additional volunteers sought to organize a neighborhood cleanup.

Officers Jennifer Lich and Jason Deary presented the neighborhood crime report:

• On Sept. 26, 5 car burglaries were reported between 8pm – 7am. The cars were left unlocked. The items stolen included loose change, a lap top, iPod, etc.
